Welcome to Friends of the Inyo
Preserving Public Lands of the Eastern Sierra
Friends of the Inyo is a Bishop, California-based, non-profit conservation organization dedicated to preserving the Eastside's unique qualities: its diverse wild lands, scenic beauty, wild rivers, varied flora and fauna, and abundant opportunities for low-impact recreation.
Through a combination of wild land defense, outreach and education, and Wilderness advocacy, together we can ensure that this remarkable place is preserved for future generations of people, plants and animals. We offer many ways for individuals and organizations to be a part of the solution to the numerous threats facing our public lands. We also offer a wide variety of walks and talks and serve as an information resource for recreationalists and wild-lands advocates in the Eastern Sierra. We invite you to explore this site and ask you to join us in helping keep the “Eastside” a great place for all.
