Sherwin Lakes Natural History Hike

Meets: 9a.m. - 1p.m. at the Sherwin Lakes Trailhead (off Sherwin Creek Road).

Distance:  5 Miles Round Trip, ~ 800’ Elevation Gain

Difficulty: Moderate

Explore the recent Sherwin Fire and the diverse montane forest environment along the Sherwin Lakes Trail.  Led by Brian Scavone, FOI's Lakes Basin Steward, this half-day hike will examine the role of fire in our forest environments while checking out the many natural features of this beautiful trail. 
Bring food, water and sunscreen for a half day.
