Wilderness Campsite Inventory Training

Help Friends of the Inyo and the Inyo National Forest inventory campsites in Inyo National Forest Wilderness areas. This year we are focusing on completing the Golden Trout and South Sierra Wilderness areas and also working in Boundary Peak Wilderness.

This mandatory weekend-long training in the Golden Trout Wilderness, just outside Lone Pine, will teach volunteers everything they need to know to conduct inventories on their own. Qualified participants who conduct inventories will be presented a $30 a day stipend for patrol days.  Please contact Andrew Schurr to sign up, or call 760-873-6500.

What: Wilderness Campsite Inventory Training for self-guided patrols throughout the summer. Includes camping at Cotton Lakes, meals and training. Bring camping gear.

Where: Cottonwood Lakes (Horseshoe Meadows), in the Golden Trout Wilderness outside Lone Pine.
