Friends of the Inyo makes it easy to earn wilderness sweat equity with a rewarding and relaxing volunteer vacation. Cost includes pack support (mules carry the gear), work supplies, all meals and trip leaders/guides. Cost: $350

August 1-7: Thousand Island Lake, Ansel Adams Wilderness

Sunday evening: Meet, do a gear check, rest up.

Monday morning: Meet at Agnew Meadows for the hike out to Thousand Island Lake. We'll set up camp and enjoy the views!

Tuesday-Friday: Trail work and campsite restoration, plus time to hike, fish, climb and hang out.

Saturday: Walk back to Agnew Meadows.
